A Special Post for John + Kim

We recently received the most touching email from John & Kim whose Seattle wedding we shot back in 2007.  It moved me so much I had to share it with you…

“What I wanted to tell you, Dave and Quin is a very very sincere THANK YOU on behalf of Kim, our families and myself once again for capturing such beautiful and memorable images from our wedding. Kim’s father passed away one week after you left due to a family tragedy. On the funeral, we played a slideshow of his life and the images you both captured on our wedding day were truly the last great moments & highlights of his life. When we showed the images of him walking Kim down the aisle, handing her over to me, making that funny speech and the dance of him and Kim’s mom, everyone was crying…

Because of your images, people realized these were the things he wanted to do as a father and he got to do them in his life time… We could say that he had no regrets in his life…

We really wanted to thank both of you for being there and captured these precious moments for us. The dancing shot is definitely one of my all time favorites… A time like this is difficult for us to deal with but thank God we have some precious memories to live with. Thank you, Dave & Quin…”

Not only are John & Kim are wonderful friends of ours, but they are an awesome husband and wife photography team.  We are humbled and reminded that *this* is why we are wedding photographers; to capture meaningful moments that matter to our “clients”, and more fittingly, our friends.

John & Kim, we are honored to have witnessed your father on one of the happiest days of his life.  Thank you for sharing your hearts with us.

Your friends, dq
