I’ll always remember Kerry as the stunning blue eyed, dark haired sister of the groom from Natasha & Jason’s Calgary wedding back in 2008, who also happened to be the lucky gal to catch the bouquet that night. Even back then I’d always thought she had such a unique beauty and it’s absolutely fitting that she’d marry Christos, perfectly described in her wedding vows to him as “possessing the looks of a Greek god”.
Their wedding destination of choice was Saint John Resort in Mykonos, Greece. The deep blue water against sapphire skies and white walled buildings offered an incomparable backdrop for an evening ceremony and sunset photoshoot. The wind was so strong that day it would often and unexpectedly whip Kerry’s floor length veil into the air, and one time landing it into the pool beside the spot we were shooting. But no amount of tousled hair and dripping wet veil could pull Kerry & Christos out of the joy from just being together. I love, love, love that they soaked up every single moment of that day and it’s so obvious that their happiest moments arise out of being with each other.
At about 1:30am, Christos surprised us all with a spectacular traditional Greek dance for his bride. Complete with acrobatics, crazy contortions and balancing tequila shots from forehead to feet, he had us all amazed and hollering for more.
Such an incredible day that I consider myself soooo blessed to have witnessed. I hope these images will impart just how special these two are and just a portion of how deeply they love.
