It’s always a humbling experience to be hired by fellow creatives, people who understand what you do and and the energy and passion that goes into every body of work. What’s even more rare is coming across people who are as technically minded (aka: geeky) as Dave. So it was a match made in heaven to receive an email from fellow photographer Rishi (www.rishisanyalphotography.com) and scientific editor at Digital Photography Review (dpreview.com) to photograph his wedding in Seattle.
We first “met” Neeti and Rishi over a skype date and immediately fell in love with these two. Easy going, loveable, brilliantly funny, and constantly curious, I could totally understand the attraction, true companionship and deep respect they have for each other. It’s easy to foresee this couple in 50 years still just as passionately engaged and deeply absorbed in every conversation they have.
Neeti and Rishi chose the luxurious Four Seasons in downtown Seattle to host their celebrations. The morning started off in glorious traditional Indian style with Rishi’s parade on a horse on the streets of downtown Seattle while his crew sang and danced to the beat of bhangra drummers. The evening blended western elegance as Neeti wowed us all as she entered in her high fashion sari. It was a night that had us all laughing through speeches, tearing up as Rishi serenaded his bride on the piano, and hollering to see Rishi throw down more amazing dance moves on the dance floor.
Thank you Neeti and Rishi for allowing us to share in your day. It was a huge honour for us to know you and capture your love. I hope we’ll be able to hang out with you more, talk geek, drink coffee and share great meals in the future!
