Olivia is another one of my “children”, so to speak. One that I hold close and dear to my heart. She is an excellent physiotherapist who has served abroad in Mercy Ships and met the love of her life Michael when he came as a patient to be treated by her. They decided to get married in the most eclectic, quaint and memorable venue I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting, Auberge Le Saint Gabriel in the heart of Old Montreal. The philosophy of this place is:
“…Satisfy, surprise a little, give a lot,
make dreaming so as to never be forgotten”
I think this suits Olivia and Mike perfectly, for who they are and the dreams that they are striving for.
I remember waiting in a tiny, stuffy room with Mike and his bestman as they waited for the cue to make their entrance into the ceremony. They reminisced about the old times and I could not only see, but feel, the emotion building up in Mike. Tears were flowing during the ceremony, but the most powerful moment was when the ceremony finished with Olivia and Mike having a moment of quiet together alone. They simply stood touching heads together, arms wrapped, and tear drops marking each moment. It was a moment so full of love and emotion that I will always remember it.
Olivia & Mike, thank you for inviting us to be a part of your day. We did not feel like photographers, but part of your family sharing it and celebrating with you. We love you very much and hope you enjoy these images for now, until we can blow you away with many more coming soon!
